Pristine jungle that meets the sea, humpback whales migrating from the South Pole, and Afro-Colombian communities who have been stewards of this territory for generations.
The gateway to Colombia's northern Pacific coast. A coastal municipality where the Chocó rainforest meets the sea, humpback whales arrive each year to give birth in its warm waters, and Afro-Colombian communities have built a way of life in harmony with the territory — one that today forms the foundation of responsible tourism in the region.
Over 75% of Bahía Solano's population identifies as Black, mixed-race, Afro-Colombian, or Afro-descendant. This heritage is expressed in the gastronomy, crafts, and medicinal knowledge of the territory — and in the work of community organizations like Asociación Caguama, which today protects sea turtles along these beaches. When you travel with us, your money stays with the families who care for this land.

Frequently asked questions
Applies to El Valle - Bahía Solano, and Nuquí.
Nuquí sits on the Gulf of Tribugá — one of the last pristine gulfs in South America. Unlike other Pacific destinations, nature here remains almost entirely untouched: natural hot springs rising from the jungle, Utría National Park with its coral reefs, beaches free from mass tourism infrastructure, and Afro-Colombian and Emberá Dobidá indigenous communities who have inhabited these coasts and rivers for centuries.
Nuquí is home to around 6,000 Afro-Colombian residents and Emberá Dobidá indigenous communities — "the people of the river" — who have inhabited these jungles since pre-Hispanic times. The families of Jurubirá have tended their natural hot springs as a medicinal and spiritual space for generations. Their decision to open the territory to responsible tourism is what makes it possible for you to visit today.
